Eva Longoria and Tony Parker hit a rough patch

Eva Longoria’s rep says Eva and Tony are going through a rough patch in their relationship just like anybody with demanding careers. This basically translates to Tony and Eva are done and the official announcement should come soon. One reason cited is the 7 year age difference (Eva is older). I can’t quite figure out why they need to release a statement at all. I don’t go around telling everyone that I just hit a rough patch in my relationship. Probably because no one cares how I burned my hand.
