Steve Irwin is dead

Reports are in that Steve Irwin has died. In a freak accident, a stingray barb went through his chest and into his heart while he was filming an underwater documentary about demistifying the stingray.

Irwin had a puncture wound to the left side of his chest and was pronounced dead at the scene. Irwin’s body is being flown to Cairns.

There was a really good chance that a crocodile would have gotten him, but no, it was a lowly stingray. Irwin’s wife is hiking in Tasmania and is yet to be notified.
