James Brown’s widow is homeless

After finding out husband James Brown died of heart failure, Tomi Rae Brown returned from her retreat to their home to be told by security guards that she wasn’t allowed inside. Tomi doesn’t own the deed to the house, but she insists she has a legal right to live there. It’s unclear at the moment why Brown’s accountant and lawyer padlocked the gate and are keeping her out.

In 2004, James Brown plead guilty to a domestic violence charge that claimed he pushed Tomi Rae to the floor and threatened to kill her. He was let off with a fine. James Brown is the man. Even in death he has the last word. I can imagine he’s tap dancing and singing “I feel good” right now while his wife fights off the cold in a Motel 6.
