Courtney Love was pranked

Courtney Love yesterday said the executive producer of American Idol called her asking if she would like to be a judge. Producer, Nigel Lythgoe, now denies making any such call and claimed he was being misrepresented by someone else.

“I did not call Courtney Love and am afraid someone may have misrepresented me. Courtney Love is a very talented artist, but the judges for American Idol are Paula, Randy and Simon. We have no plans to add to or replace any of them.”

A friend of Courtney’s says it was probably a prank call. That’s a pretty mean prank call. You give this poor girl a glimmer of hope and then it’s taken away by some punk kid who thinks he’s funny. Nigel should go ahead and put her on. She could be the first person to make Simon Cowell cry. That or she’ll break down on stage and flash everyone. Either way I’d watch it.
