Paula Abdul being replaced by Courtney Love?

Us Magazine claims Courtney Love has been in talks with the producers of American Idol. It’s unclear whether they want Courtney as an addition to the show or want her to permanently replace Paula. The latter seems to be the likely scenario.
“He called,” Love tells Usmagazine.com. “He was wondering if I was interested. I thought it was kind of weird but brilliant.”
Everybody sees Paula Abdul as an alcoholic after certain incidents, but replacing her with Courtney Love is ridiculous and maybe a little awesome. Why would they replace Paula though? Aren’t alcoholics supposed to be more fun? You know, until that liver failure happens. Then it’s all me, me, me. I need a new liver, MY meds aren’t working, I’M going to die in three months. Jesus Christ, shut up already. Do you want a hand mirror so you can stare at yourself all day?
I think replacing Paula is the most horrible idea ever made for american idol Paula likes what she does and shes good at it I dont think they should take that away from her and I also dont think shes on drugs
I think replacing paula on the show will ultimatley lead to the end on American Idol. Its a horrible idea!

Paula has more talent than Courtney Love… You’ve GOT to be joking! If American Idol has any hopes of ever being a “legitimate” talent show, they’re really going down the WRONG road here.
American Idol, if you’re reading, PLEASE hire someone who knows what they’re talking about. Courtney Love hasn’t seen or experienced reality in years… If you’re worried about Paula being on drugs, you might as well give it up w/ Courtney. It’d be safer to say “when is she NOT on drugs?”

They had probably invited her in to see if she was a good candidate for a guest judge in Seattle. NDA expired; so she’s free to claim relevance by name-dropping.
