Halle Berry talks suicide

In a candid interview with Parade Magazine set to appear this weekend, Halle Berry said she attempted suicide, but backed out at the last minute. She tried to kill herself with carbon monoxide over her marriage with David Justice.

“I was sitting in my car, and I knew the gas was coming, when I had an image of my mother finding me. She sacrificed so much for her children, and to end my life would be an incredibly selfish thing to do. It was all about a relationship. My sense of worth was so low. I promised myself I would never be a coward again.”

Her second marriage to Eric Benet wasn’t all roses either. The two were in sex rehab for a whole year. However, now that she’s with her model Gabriel Aubry, she’s ready to have a child.

Suicide is never the answer. Alcohol, marijuana, cocaine. Now those are answers. You’ll never know happiness until you’ve woken up naked in a ravine with a dead goat lying in your arms.
