Britney Spears botched it all up
Page Six has a laundry list of reasons as to why Britney Spears’ VMA performance was so sucktastic. Firstly, Britney Spears was late to rehearsals. She arrived in Vegas at 4:30 p.m. when she was supposed to be there at 1:00 p.m. Upon arrival, she went to her hotel room and ordered the prerequisite food and margaritas. She finally showed up at rehearsals with a drink in her hand. I’m too lazy to type the rest. I’ll just quote Page Six.
When Spears preformed on Sunday, she stumbled a couple times and couldn’t remember the words she was lip-syncing. She covered her mouth at one point but by the end of the song had simply given up any pretense of singing.
“The dance number was spectacular – without her,” said our spy at rehearsal. “When the stand-in was rehearsing with the dancers, in the hours they were all waiting for her, it was amazing. Then Britney showed up and refused to do anything. The dancers were supposed to lift and twirl her in the air a few times, and that just wasn’t going to happen. The more complicated dance moves had to be erased because she couldn’t do them.”
Meanwhile, Spears was agitated because she didn’t like the outfit MTV had selected for her.
“MTV wanted her to wear a corset outfit. It would have looked great and covered a lot of things up, but she hated it and didn’t think it was sexy enough.”
Instead, Spears changed into a spangly bra-and-underwear outfit she’d brought with her that emphasized her weight gain over the last year.
MTV execs weren’t the only ones worried about Spears’ impending debacle. Another spy said, “The dancers were texting pals, asking them to pray for them. They were worried.”
After Spears performed at the VMAs, she allegedly broke down in tears but then partied until 3 a.m. She changed outfits several times and again was photographed by paparazzi wearing no underwear.
I actually liked the performance she gave. I’ve never actually seen someone’s career die right before my eyes. I was intrigued. I also enjoy watching tubby chicks stumble around trying to dance and sing at the same time. She was like a drunk elephant in a field of mice.
that last bit of the quote in your post says it all…she’s mentally ill. i doubt that she’s even doing it for attention at this point – she’s doing it all for herself to try to have fun but she doesn’t know how to get out of the depression/brat/retard place she’s in right now. what she needs is a new life – with the way she is built she could get into one of those bare knuckles underground boxing circuits and possibly own everyone. britney spears VMA performance was not sucktastic.she had 2 kids she has not had that much wieght gain she looked good after having 2 kids and she is not a tubby chick and she did not stumble around trying to dance she danced very good.
I feel sorry for the dancers who put so much into that. I remember watching it and kinda ignoring Spears and thinking everyone else looked incredible. There’s some good looking guys in that ensembe too.
Although come on, after two kids, and constant cheetohs and cigarettes, she actually looks pretty good. Granted she is turing a little bit into a John Waters character; I think she’s a lot more interesting than the bizarrely sexualized and soulless automotan she was before. I think it’s good for her to get mad.

Her extensions look worse then her belly. Many women would kill for her body after 2 kids! But she should NOT have worn that outfit, she could have worn something that was more flattering, but PLEASE Britney fix your hair!
Okay…. I gotta admit, the her performance was one of the worst ones I have ever seen. I hated everything from her bad weave, to her horrible dancing techniques… BUT I really didn’t think her body looked that terrible bad. I know it hasn’t been kickin’ like it use to be, but damn for two kids in what…. two years isn’t bad at all…
One of the worst performances ever. But I mean, she IS mad. People are being unfair, what’s to expect? By the way, I can only assume that the people attempting to write in Spanish are actually undercover English speaking guys, because not even a 5 year old would write like this…But then, maybe there ARE five years old. You guys are horrible!! Honestly I have never been a Britney Spears fan and I am very aware of her many mistakes she has made recently. But please..saying that she looked like an elephant, and talking about how fat she looked!? Number one, she really is not even chubby..maybe not in shape, but certainly not fat. You guys send out the wrong message to little girls or any woman for that matter. And this is not coming from a fat person either!!!!
