Edison Chen has responded to one of China’s biggest scandals in the past few years. Photos and videos were supposedly leaked to the public after he sent his phone and laptop in for repairs. The phtoos and videos feature big name Asian stars including Gillian Chung, Bobo Chan, Cecilia Cheung, Maggie Q and Jolin Tsai in various states of undress and fornication. In his first response since the scandal, he urges people to destroy the nude photos via a video message sent through his lawyers, Edison says,
“I’ve decided to break my silence today and make this statement to the media and to all people involved in this strange ordeal. Recent documents being posted online have been intentionally hurtful and malicious not only to the victims but to our whole community.
“I have already handed matters over to the police and have been assisting them with this case from the first day onwards. Due to ongoing investigations, I am unable to comment any further upon this case.
“The lives of many innocent people have been affected by this malicious and criminal conduct, and in this regard I am filled with pain, hurt and frustration.
“I hereby use this opportunity to apologize to anyone who has been affected by this strange, strange ordeal [Ed. note: Huh?!].
“I now call upon everyone to help and assist the victims of this case. If you have ever downloaded any of these images, please do not forward them to anyone. Please do not send them to anyone. If you are still in possession of these images, I urge you to please destroy them immediately. Let’s help the wounded heal their wounds. I urge you to help the victims and not make anything worse.”

I work in the entertainment business in hong kong and this just horrible. The girls must had trusted him a lot for him to tape them. Thought it would had never came out.

i cannot agree with you more. from the very beginning, i took edison the man to blame. actors, sometimes talk about things which they never meant, eg. ” i dont have one night stand”, “i dont sleep around” they make the big dough, enjoy the fame, the vanity and manipulate their fans but never try to take one minute to be thankful to the people who keep their good life. They become mean and greedy. What’s worse, is that they forget about that they have become the young soul’s icon and they make such bad influence by telling such lies!

In my opinion it doesnt matter no more. The girls lives are already screwed by Edison regardless if there was 1 photo or 1200 photos being forwarded everyday. The whole world already know about it and there is nothing that can change the reality. I think the more Edison lifes get fucked the happier most people will feel because in the end he messed all the girls lives.
