Good: Scarlett Johansson engaged. Bad: Not to me.

Today, after barely a year of dating, Scarlett Johansson’s rep confirmed her engagement to Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds. Sources say Johansson is excited to show off her ring at Monday’s Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala in New York.

Reynolds, 31, currently filming the aptly named The Proposal in Boston with Sandra Bullock, recently popped the question to Johansson, 23. The couple have not set a wedding date.

A while back, Reynolds broke off his engagement with Alanis Morisette. Now he gets to bang Scarlett Johansson everyday. That’s pretty cool. Plus, he doesn’t even have to beg her not to call the cops after he finishes sniffing her panties.
