See a dumb dog can be taught all sorts of things. They become good at doing those things because they don't have mind of their own. And generally speaking a good actor is much like a dumb dog. Look at Tommy Girl. Not really a bad actor, but dumb as a bag of hammers. Denzel isn't smart enough to know he's stupid. And right then and there he's thinking he's smart enough to get into politics! Proving my point. Poor Denzel
