American Idol hopeful Joanna Pacitti has been disqualified from competition. The higher-ups determined that Pacitti is ineligible to continue and has been replaced by Felicia Barton. This decision may stem from the fact that Pacitti had close relationships to two execs at 19 Entertainment, the company that produces Idol.
Star reported earlier that Joanna wasn’t really an amateur as she’s already released an album, opened for Sheryl Crow and had her songs in movies and tv shows such as The Hills. Star suggested that aside from all that, her friendship with the two execs may give her an unfair advantage over the competition.
An insider tells Star that Michelle Young and Roger Widynowski [both work at 19 Entertainment]have very personal connections to the Idol hopeful, all of which we detail in our can’t miss story. How personal? Well, Joanna has referred to Michelle as her “manager” and “best friend,” and credited Roger with “helping me get where I am today.” Plus, the three of them even lived in the same L.A. apartment complex for several years.
They forget to mention that this may be her last shot. And also that she’s hot. That’s probably the real reason they did this to her. Pretty people are always treated unfairly. Like, whenever I go to gifting suites, they never let me take more than four bags of stuff. What’s up with that? Why you gotta treat me like an ugly person?
its dumb that she got kicked off unless they have real evidence that she did anything they have nothing! and those people that were “helping” her didnt get her three yeses to begin with did they? or got her through even further! this is really stupid! shes a good singer and u shouldnt stop her from her dreams!!!! and its not like shes the only one that had some sort of prior singing carrier befor! and personaly i had never herd of her before her audition! u ppl need to just get a life!

not much of an idol follower, but seems to me that this girl already has had her “big break”. Having made videos and her own c.d.. it might be an unpopular opinion, but if I watched the show, I would watch hoping to see the next big names in music for the first time and see them grow as a artist. Joanna P. has a unfair advantage and is already a pro. I don’t see that the decision could be based on looks at all.
I really liked her, I really wanted her to win. Granted she may have an advantage however I never knew her before so how could I have said she had her chance, If not many people got to know her before the show then her chance was more her just recording songs and leaving them be. Maybe its her fault maybe its not but I really was hoping she would become the next American Idol
umm..they do have evidince i think that it is fair that she got kicked off b\c the others didnt get a fair chance against her because she has a vocal artist and everthing so it was all her fault not Kerra’s…..duhh=)
