Paula is just here for the music, gentleman

Idol is all about raw natural talent which is why it made sense for Paula to perform her new auto-tuned single last night by blatantly lip-syncing into two microphones at once while shimmying up and down the stage. It’s confounding why they even thought this was a good idea. If they let Simon comment on her performance, he’d probably have just stared at her, made a clever quip and stabbed himself in the eye with a pencil.

I’m SO surprised that everybody seems to be shocked by Paula Abdul’ lip-synching, but Gwen Stefannie was also lip-synching, doesn’t that count? Can anyone show me an artist who doesn’t lip-synch nowadays, especially when they have to dance to the song as Paula did? Could anyone perform a perfect vocal while dancing??? All in al, I personally think it’s utterly respectable for Paula to lip-synch considering all the jumping and running she was doing during the song.

Here’s an artist that wasn’t lip-syncing: Gwen Stefani

Ever heard of Prince? Alicia Keys? It was not respectable. Especially on this type of show!
