Chris Brown is attempting a comeback tour aptly named the “Fan Appreciation” tour. The concert series kicks off Nov. 14 and ends on Dec. 15. Although, he can probably close a lot earlier, say Nov. 16, since no one is buying tickets. Turns out fans are turned off by guys who beat their girlfriends.
“This is definitely not the outcome [Chris' label] Jive Records hoped for,” says an industry exec, adding that the poor ticket sales are surely a result of Brown’s now-infamous altercation with Rihanna in February. “Chris lost a lot of fans after he assaulted Rihanna. And after that whole scandal, he’s not exactly kid-friendly. What parent would buy their children tickets to his concert?”
Chris Brown’s agent isn’t worried, however. He says he expects all venues to be sold out. He then made a lot of excuses as to why sales are slow. Then he laid his head in his hands and asked me to close the door when I left.
