Bad news fans of couples whose names both start with Taylor. Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner have broken up. Most likely for practical reasons since if they got married and Swift took Lautner’s name, they’d both be called Taylor Lautner. Obviously, they couldn’t have that. Too much confusion. Though a source has a different take on the split. A less insightful one, I may add.
“It wasn’t really developing into anything, and wasn’t going to, so they decided they were better as friends,” a source close to Swift, 20, tells Us. “There was no chemistry.”
However, the relationship officially fizzled when Lautner, 17, flew to Nashville for Swift’s birthday party on Dec. 13, a friend of the singer reveals.
“He liked her more than she liked him,” the source tells Us. “He went everywhere he could to see her, but she didn’t travel much to see him.”
Naturally, they plan to stay friends. Swift will even reunite with Lautner when he’s promoting Valentine’s Day. For contractual purposes of course because she’s also in the movie. Meanwhile, Lautner will develop a growing resentment for Swift every day of the promotional tour.
