Heidi Montag sold less than 1,000 copies of her album

You better get to your local music shop fast because copies of Heidi Montag’s new album Superficial are selling like hotcakes. Less than 1,000 copies have already been claimed! Wait, let me rephrase that. Maybe close to 1,000 copies have already been claimed! This album will not last. Be part of history. Today!

Nielsen Soundscan says in its first week of release, Heidi’s album has broken an industry record. If there’s an industry record for worst record sales ever. To make matters worse, she told EW last week that she and Spencer went broke making Superficial, but expected to make their money back in the first week of release. “I put every dollar I have into this. I’ve spent over $1 million, almost $2 million, on this album. It’s cost as much or more than a Britney Spears album because I wanted it to be that quality… The songs will make an impact in pop history.”

If Heidi charged $4,000 per album, then she has succeeded! Congrats at recouping your losses! And she’s right. These songs will make an impact on pop history. Much like stepping in dog crap makes an impact on your shoe.
