Vowing to help get back to its feet, has organized a shoe drive. Will these shoes be filled with morphine, vaccines and other medical supplies? No, they’ll probably be filled with regular insoles.

The singer, 29, has announced plans to team up with Nashville-based shoe charity Soles4Souls to collect at least 50,000 pairs of shoes in 50 days, which will be sent to victims in the Caribbean country.

“Let’s all do everything that we can for the tragedy in ,” she says in a video clip advertising the campaign.

A good way to distribute the shoes is to drop them out of an airplane. That way not only will Jessica have come up with the most useless way to help , but she’ll also have come up with the most useless way to give her donation to them.

    Ok yes, compared to food and clean water and medical supplies it seems really silly. However, if people lost everything, including their shoes, it would make it more pleasant for them to do have shoes so they’re not stepping barefoot on rubble and broken glass. Hopefully they donate useful shoes like runners and work boots though. I can just see her dropping a bunch of stilletos on them.

    hey, at least she’s not one of those fucking attention whore celebrities who “gives” by going on a telethon just so he/she can tell me that his/her time that he/she is “giving away for free” is worth more then my hard earned dollars that i actually had to do a real job to earn.

After watching this… http://www.50000shoes.com/…where Jessica and her hangers-on plug their reality show while asking for money for Haiti, it’s hard not to think she is just using the tragedy for some positive pr.
