Andrew Koenig, 41, aka Richard “Boner” Stabone on 25 episodes of Growing Pains, has gone missing for the past week. Koenig went to visit friends in Toronto and was supposed to return on February 16, but has yet to be heard from.
Koenig left a note for his parents which has them worried. His father Walter said, “He sounded despondent. Nobody has seen this [note] but my wife and I.”
“I think it’s something that has been a part of his makeup for a long time. There’s no single trauma. There’s no episode. There’s nothing of that nature,” says Walter, who added that drugs were not an issue.
Well maybe he got tired of people always calling him “Boner” and making erection jokes. Maybe he ran away to cry like little kids do when they can’t take anymore teasing. That Andrew. So sensitive.
