Madonna will take your village
Madonna wants to build a $15 million school for girls in Blantyre, Malawi. In effect, the government has told 200 villagers to get the hell out so Madonna can build. Oh but don’t worry, Madonna threw some cash their way.
The principal of the proposed school, Anjimile Mtila-Oponyo, told the Associated Press that Madonna paid the villagers more than $115,000 (or 16 million kwacha) to compensate for their homes.
So far, residents have refused to move from Blantyre, located just outside Malawi’s capital, Lilongwe.
I wouldn’t go against Madonna. This white devil will kill you in your sleep. They should be happy that they were compensated at all and not just round up in a cage in the middle of the night and thrown into the river.

I wish to counter sensational comment on Madonna will take your village. I am a malawian, the said LAND which was occuppied illegally is a public land which meant for expansion of the city. with madonna or without madonna the squatters would have been removed anyway and resettled to a new place. FOR EXAMPLE could usa government allow squatters to occuppy Mahatan are ijn new york without being forced out. we are soverign country we have rules, and we know what is good for our country.
