In the new issue of Interview magazine, Madonna harnesses the power of pretentiousness and Photoshop. First she talks about going to Africa and helping kids with AIDS and all the good she’s doing and on and on with lots of “what are you doing with your life” holier than thou anecdotes. Then later she talks about how she likes to argue with people for no reason at all.
“I think it’s good to get into arguments with people and have them say, ‘That sucks’ or ‘You’re crazy’ or
‘That’s cheesy’ or ‘What do you think of this?’ If anything, it helps you understand what you believe in and what you’re passionate about and what is s—. I think it’s important to have a sounding board.”
I wonder why more people don’t like her. It sounds really fun hanging around a person so miserable that the only joy they get is from goading you into arguments. I mean, heated arguments are one of my top 5 things I like to do when I’m in a good mood.
