Roman Polanski was supposed to be sentenced for drugging and sodomizing a then 13-year-old girl in 1977 but he fled to France and now, after 23 years, he’s still fighting extradition. Gosh, those prosecutors sure do have a good memory. You’d think they’d have forgotten by now. Sheesh. These people can sure hold a grudge.
Anyway, four years after Polanski fled to France, he allegedly raped another girl. This time a little older. 16. Charlotte Lewis of London, part of Polanski’s 1986 film Pirates, held a press conference and claimed he forced himself on her.
“[Polanski] sexually abused me in the worst possible way when I was just 16,” said Lewis, who remained composed while reading a prepared statement. “He knew [how old I was] when he met me and forced himself upon me in his apartment in Paris. He took advantage of me and I have lived with the effects of his behavior ever since it occurred. I’ve traveled to the U.S. at my own expense to make sure that justice is finally done and that Mr. Polanski gets what he deserves. All I want is justice.”
I’m still not sure how directors and actors like Woody Allen, Martin Scorsese, Monica Bellucci, Pedro Almodovar and David Lynch support him. Oh wait, yea I do. Half of those people are perverts. You may be surprised, but having a guy who married his stepdaughter vouch for you isn’t as promising as it sounds.
