Demi Lovato tells Cambio that when she was 12, she was bullied so mercilessly that she ended up dropping out of school and being home-schooled with Selena Gomez who became her good friend. “I just remember the hard times that I went through that caused problems that I struggle with every day to this day. I was bottling it up 100 per cent and one day I was in a bathroom and the lights were out, I couldn’t turn them on because you had to have a key in a separate part of the school. I just called my mom and I was crying and I said ‘I don’t want to go to school any more’. It was a rough time, I was by myself.”
They must have been real mean because when she was 12, she just finished being a two season regular on Barney & Friends. Were the kids teasing her about how much money she made and how awesome it was to be on TV? Kids can be so cruel. I know first hand. Like, one time I pushed this kid in a puddle and he splashed water on me when he fell in. Right on my new pair of pants. What a jerk!
