While testifying in the News of the World phone-hacking scandal, Rupert Murdoch was hit in the face with a “pie” by a guy named Jonnie Marbles. The pie was actually a tin full of shaving cream.
Regardless, Marbles tweeted, “It is a far better thing that I do now than I have ever done before #splat.” CNN quoted him as shouting “you are a greedy billionaire” before throwing the plate of shaving cream at Murdoch’s face.
In another video, it looks like he got some on himself.
Wow. What a hero. Instead of throwing shaving cream, he should have just jumped on a table and started screaming, “Look at me, I’m an attention whore!” It would have been far more effective for what he was trying to accomplish.
