Jon Rich (the one wearing the cowboy hat) of country duo Big & Rich, which I’m assuming is a somewhat popular country group (I wouldn’t know, country music is the devil’s work), was kicked off a Southwest flight on Sunday after crew members determined he was too drunk to fly from Vegas to Nashville.
Sources say he argued with a couple of passengers before even boarding the plane at 10:50 a.m. and continued being a big, sloppy drunk inside the main cabin.
Crew members noticed his breath smelled like Tara Reid and asked him to get off the plane. He did so calmly. A rep for Southewest said, “Our crew assessed the situation and determined that the passenger was not fit for travel under governing federal aviation regulations.” Adding, “The customer was rebooked on a later Southwest flight out of Las Vegas, but chose to make alternative travel arrangements. We have processed a refund for the customer and his travel companion.”
Rich’s rep denied an altercation but said nothing about him being kicked off. Which is as good an admission of guilt as any. He should just embrace this. 80% of his fan base are drunk 90% of the time anyway. A drunk country star? What a goldmine. That’s like a rapper with a legit criminal record.
