George Clooney Went to Washington, D.C., Got Arrested

George Clooney and his father Nick were arrested in Washington, D.C. for protesting the Sudan crisis in front of the Sudanese embassy this morning. They were arrested after crossing a police line, a misdemeanor, and taken away by US Secret Service. Clooney is currently being booked into a D.C. police station where no doubt each officer working there will ask for his autograph.

“They were protesting the violence committed by the government of Sudan on its own innocent men, women and children. They were demanding they allow humanitarian aid into the country before it becomes the largest humanitarian crisis in the world.” TMZ

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt just let out a big “fuuuuuuuck” because now Clooney has more street cred than them.
