Sagging ratings have forced America’s Next Top Model to make a drastic overhaul. They’ve gone ahead and dropped most of the judges which include Nigel Barker, J. Alexander and Jay Manuel.
Tyra Banks wrote, “To my Nigel Barker, Miss J, and Mr Jay: Thank you for all of our years together on America’s Next Top Model. Working with you is always an absolute pleasure. Excited for what the future holds for us.”
An official statement read, “Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander have been an integral part of the America’s Next Top Model brand and they helped turn this show into the household name it is today. They have been amazing assets to the show and will always be a part of the Top Model family. We will continue to actively work with each of them on future projects.”
Going into the 19th cycle, producers are hoping to shake up the show with social media elements and have “reached out to street-style blogger Bryan Boy.” A pretty clever plan if you think about it. Employ one of the fashion bloggers’ very own so all the other fashion bloggers will talk about him and the show. That is until the other bloggers’ enthusiasm at being validated turns into jealousy and contempt.
