Steven Tyler announced his departure from American Idol in a way only an old person could. With a rambling statement about going back to Aerosmith.
“I strayed from my first love, Aerosmith, and I’m back. But instead of begging on my hands and knees, I’ve got two fists in the air and I’m kicking the door open with my band.”
I tried to visualize what Steven said but all I could see in my head is an old man with a partial hunch and two fists in the air trying in vain to kick open a door while letting out his signature shriek which is now more of a groan/croak.
