Rolling Stone has an expose on Scientology by Janet Reitman and in it, Reitman claims Tom Cruise has traversed the Bridge to Total Freedom and achieved OT VII, a stage of Scientology rarely if ever seen by most. Mainly because most are not multi-millionaires like Tom Cruise. Anyway, through intense “auditing” sessions and large contributions, once you become OT like Tom you’re apparently telepathic.
Operative Thetans, Reitman says, have “have total ‘control’ over themselves and their environment. OTs can allegedly move inanimate objects with their minds, leave their bodies at will and telepathically communicate with, and control the behavior of, both animals and human beings.”
The more advanced Cruise and other Operating Thetans become, Reitman reports, they reach a God-like state: “At the highest levels, they are allegedly liberated from the physical universe, to the point where they can psychically control what Scientologists call MEST: Matter, Energy, Space and Time.” Us Weekly
One thing I don’t understand is why anyone would join Scientology once they hear this. You’d expect their first reaction to be to back away slowly and not, “Whoa?! Really?! You mean I can have mind bullets? Pew pew pew! Where do I sign up?”
