Warner Bros. Pulls ‘Gangster Squad’ Trailer Due to Shooting

In addition to The Dark Knight Rises Paris premiere and press conference being scrapped in the wake of the Colorado shooting, Warner Bros. has pulled the Gangster Squad trailer because of a scene “involving a bloodbath at a movie theater.”

The scene shows mobsters at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater opening fire through the screen at the audience.

This move was in part thanks to Deadline Hollywood’s Nikke Finke. Oh, I’m sorry. It wasn’t. Of course someone at Warner Bros. remembered the scene and was scrambling to deal with it right after they heard about the shooting. Her gloating, “I just received the call that the trailer is being pulled. But only after I complained,” was just her narcissism talking.

About half of the trailers on Youtube for this are being restricted by Warner Bros. from being shown in the US.
