Women are Falling Out of Love With Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is being accused of being a misogynist after Variety reporter Josh Dickey tweeted during the Looper panel at Comic-Con, “Uh oh, JGL went with the currently radioactive notion ‘pretty girls aren’t usually funny.’ Emily, who he was trying to compliment, bristled.”

Naturally, people who just took that quote and ran with it are now criticizing JGL for making sweeping generalizations. Boo! Boo-urns, they say!

And of course, more people are jumping on the bandwagon without being there or listening to the entire panel which you can do below. Skip to the 6:00 mark.

I wouldn’t say Emily Blunt bristled. It was more of a playful, “Did he just say that? Dayaaaam.”

Regardless, I agree that JGL is wrong on that point. I’ve found a lot of pretty girls to be hilarious. Especially when I ask if they want to have sex with me and they say “no” in the most deadpan way. Hahaha, no, really. What’s your real answer? It’s yes, isn’t it?

In related news, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in GQ.
