Shortly after signing the Sandy Hook Promise to reduce gun violence, Kim Kardashian showed off her fancy diamond encrusted .22 revolver on her Instagram page on Saturday. She quickly took it down after criticism started flowing in.

In all fairness, you can own a gun without committing violent acts with it. Granted, the timing was pretty terrible. It’s sort of like voicing support for gay marriage and then going on your friend’s Facebook page and typing “what a h**o” under a picture of him Eskimo kissing a kitten. Wait, is that a good analogy? I don’t even know anymore.
