Kanye West Compares His Life to ‘Wreck-It Ralph’

Part three of Kanye West’s interview with Zane Lowe was posted online and he got even more woe-is-me comparing his life to Wreck-It Ralph.

West draws similarities between himself and Vanellope von Schweetz, the lead character in the movie who’s a “glitch.” Kanye is implying he’s being persecuted in the fashion industry because he’s different but he’s really not. He’s actually the next evolution of fashion.

“It’s in my code,” West said of his love for clothing and design. “Have y’all ever seen ‘Wreck-It Ralph’? You remember how that girl in there — the people that was racing? She was the glitch. You’re telling me they don’t look at me like the motherf–king glitch? You’re telling me people don’t look at Kanye West like the glitch? Right now. And she was on the side of the video game, the whole time! It’s in my code.”

It’s really weird because the only person that thinks Kanye is being oppressed is Kanye. Maybe he isn’t Schweetz. Maybe his fashion sense is just terrible.

After Lowe connected Kanye’s haters to Vanellope’s tormenters in the film — led by Taffyta Muttonfudge (voiced by Mindy Kaling) — West empathetically agreed: “Yeah, they broke Vanellope’s car! Vanellope Von Schweetz, they broke her car!”

It’s nice to see that he sort of abandons his metaphor to cry over that part of the movie. *Sobs” “They broke her car, man!”
