Jennifer Lawrence Is Disappointed in Miley Cyrus
At the premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Jennifer Lawrence was asked by BBC’s Newsnight how she felt about the example Miley Cyrus has been setting. Specifically with her MTV VMA twerkathon that we’re still talking about.
‘It is a part of the entertainment industry that sells. Sex sells, and for some disgusting reason young sex sells even more.’
‘For some people, that’s how they feel best, that’s how they feel sexy.’ She said that as long as she stars in movies that appeal to young girls, she will ‘make conscious decisions’ to set a good example.
If she’s referring to Miley Cyrus, she does know Miley is 20-years-old, only 3 years younger than her, right? That’s not really “young sex” unless by young she means younger than her. And I’m not sure if she’s seriously confused why young sex sells but if so, I can explain that one easily. Imagine two old people having sex. Congratulations, now you’re blind. Get it now, Jennifer Lawrence?
Jennifer Lawrence NEVER mentions Mylie Cyrus…at all. I wonder, did you watch the interview?. Jennifer Lawrence gave a very diplomatic answer about the way in which the industry works and has acknowledged only that sex sells…young sex even more. There was no judgement, only that Jennifer Lawrence is hopiful that maybe she might make a difference, that’s it and that’s all. C’mon, just stop it already.
