Paul Walker Received a Few Tributes

The other night, Vin Diesel headed to Paul Walker’s crash site to greet mourners and thank them for “showing that angel in heaven how much you appreciate them.” He did this using a police cruiser loudspeaker. Sigh. Only in LA.

After giving thanks, TMZ ran over and gave them their condolences…then they asked if they were going to start filming soon. TMZ, always asking the important questions. Stay classy, TMZ.

Vin also put up a tribute to Paul Walker on his Facebook page in which he refers to him as Brian, Walker’s character from Fast and Furious.

“To live in the hearts we leave behind, is not to die.”

Thomas Campbell.

Pablo, I wish you could see the world right now… and the profound impact, your full life has had on it, on Us… on me…

I will always love you Brian, as the brother you were… on and off screen.

Can you imagine if everyone called their friend by their most well known character’s name in their tribute? Frat bros like Butt Chug Brody are going to have a real awkward funeral.

In other tributes, RZA wrote a tribute song for Paul Walker called “Destine Bends.” The two worked together on the upcoming movie Brick Mansions.

“I want to dedicate this song to my friend, Paul Walker. Up in the studio last night, writing for myself, I decided to write a song for you. Peace, brother.”

“I only knew him personally for less than a year, but we knew each other through our work and art. We saw in each other a kindred spirit of men coming from unlikely circumstances, and rising to be the light and beacon of our family and loved ones. Men who learned the joy and pains of love in life and success, while coming to realize that nothing is more important than family, friendship, and the brotherhood of humanity.”

I know tributes for the dead isn’t a competition but I get the feeling everyone is giving Vin Diesel that look right now.
