When Paul Walker’s girlfriend of 7 years, 23-year-old Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell, learned about his death, she collapsed. This comes from Reach Out Worldwide engineer Jim Torp who was next to her when she received the news. Pilchard-Gosnell then had to break the news to Walker’s 15-year-old daughter, Meadow.
“I believe she is the one who told Meadow about what happened, and when she found out she was hysterical and crying,” Torp said. “It was just so sad. I tried to do everything I could to help them. Paul’s girlfriend then took Meadow and drove her home. I don’t know if they drove to crash site. I just know they were in so much anguish.”
Of course you didn’t read any of that because you were still trying to double check the math on that relationship. 23 minus 7 carry the 1. “Wait, what? She was 16 when they started dating?!” Congratulations, you can math. You probably figured out Walker was 33 when they met too. Aren’t you smart.
In a lot of states, the age of consent is 16, but in California where they were, it’s 18 so technically, Paul Walker could have been charged with statutory rape regardless of whether she gave her consent.
Which begs the question, why are we just finding out about this now and how many high fives from his buddies do you think he’d gotten over the years?
