Tara Reid Almost Blind After Being Glassed

Back in November 2012, Tara Reid was involved in a bar fight that nearly blinded her after she was “glassed” by a stranger. Now she’s in court testifying. Why am I just hearing about this now? Oh, that’s right. Probably because I didn’t care.

Court docs say Reid was out celebrating her 37th birthday at a London club that night. While sitting in her VIP section, a British model, Maryam Hassan, desperate for attention, kept bothering her and her group. Maryam threw her drink at Tara shouting, “you whore, you slut,” and Tara threw her drink back at her. Said Tara, “She went crazy, she went psycho like Naomi Campbell.” Maryam then smashed a glass into Tara’s face.

“I noticed a female who kept approaching the table a few times… She came up to me and threw the contents of her drink over my chest. I reacted immediately and threw my drink over her. It was so quick, she stood close to me within arms’ length, and smashed the glass in my face.”

Tara also says Maryam shouted out some racial abuse to the bouncer who tried to break up the fight.

According to Tara, she couldn’t open her eyes because she was afraid she’d be blinded. She was rushed to the hospital and treated for a corneal abrasion. While she consulted with a plastic surgeon, it’s unknown whether any surgery was needed.

Unable to hypnotize the judge with her stomach ripples, Maryam was cleared by the Southwark Crown Court.
