On Monday in Miami at the Perez Art Museum, painter Maximo Caminero picked up a $1 million vase made by Chinese artist Ai Weiwei and smashed it on the ground. Caminero was protesting the fact that the museum was only displaying works from foreign artists.
Caminero could be charged with a third-degree felony punishable by up to five years in prison.

I would have chosen a better way to protest. One that didn’t lead to the destruction of $1 million worth of property and a possible five year jail sentence. Personally, I would have just taken a dump in one of the vases and ran away giggling like a schoolgirl.
