Casey Kasem’s Daughters are Pulling the Plug on Him

Despite Jean Kasem’s attempts at prolonging Casey Kasem’s life for as long as possible by sticking feeding tubes in him regardless of his inability to digest any of it, Kasem’s daughters have been granted the authority to let him die. A judge reversed a ruling requiring doctors to keep Kasem alive with food and drugs. His children have decided to withhold medication, food and fluids and let him live out his end of days.

According to his kids, Casey’s health directive states, “If the extension of my life would result in mere biological existence, devoid of cognitive function, with no reasonable hope for normal functioning, then I do not desire any form of life-sustaining procedures, including nutrition and hydration.”

Naturally, Jean wasn’t too happy about this. She stormed out of the courtroom and screamed that the kids will have Casey’s blood on their hands. It’s not clear whether she threw another pound of raw hamburger meat at them.
