By now the entire world has heard of Jeremy Meeks, the convicted felon who rose to fame after he looked ridiculously good in his mug shot.
ABC’s local affiliate in Sacramento spoke to Meeks in jail. They were told, “Well, I appreciate [the attention]. But I just want them to know that this is really not me, I’m not some kingpin.” Wait, did anyone think this guy was a kingpin and not some low level gang member?
We also find out he’s married and has a 3-year-old son, so, sorry ladies.
Meeks is being held on $900,000 for illegal possession of firearms and ammo, carrying a loaded firearm in public and criminal street gang activity. Katherine Angier, his mother, said he’s a nice boy. She set up a GoFundMe page complete with sob story to help raise money to free Meeks.
Please help. My son was taken into custody on his way to work. He is a working man with a son. He is being stereotyped due to old tattoos.
So far 31 people have donated $508. Meeks’ sister tells TMZ that he only carries guns because he used to be in a gang and he needs to protect himself. A totally bizarre excuse when you stop and think about it. His sister claims he’s been a practicing Christian for 7 years. Which, also, serves no other purpose than to garner sympathy.
According to Stockton PD, Meeks is “one of the most violent criminals in the Stockton area” having spent 9 years in prison for grand theft. But boy is he handsome. How about we just overlook the other stuff.

Eh enough folks have been railroaded by cops, that I am willing to let him tell his story to the judge, before we make up our minds about these current charges.

9 year felon. is there a law against those with IQ < 80? you certainly fit.
9 years in prison for felonies, or 9 felonies, doesn’t reall make any difference. He is subject to a 10 year Federal sentence, if pursued. My point is that many folks rail against gun crime, but in many cases like this where there are laws in place they are not enforced.
