Car Runs Over Pedestrians at Comic-Con

Comic-Con 2014 wasn’t all laughter, lines and cosplay chicks. It was also all Zombie Walks and people getting run over during Zombie Walks. On Saturday, a car plowed through a mass of pedestrians walking across the street leaving one woman with serious injuries.

Reports say that during the annual Zombie Walk, a deaf family with children in a black Honda Accord was stopped waiting for pedestrians to cross at around 5:30 pm. A few minutes of waiting later, the father slowly rolled forward. The crowd voiced their displeasure by yelling at the car while one guy then sat on the hood of the car. Several people then began punching the car leading to a shattered windshield. Due to the confluence of idiocism, the car pushed its way through to escape.

A 64-year-old woman was hit during the incident. It looked like the skin on her arm was stripped off.

The car drove down the street to the nearest police officer as a few people from the crowd chased it. Participants in the Zombie Walk wanted to make it clear that no zombies were involved in the incident and that it was mainly the regular crowd.

A terrible situation but I’m a glass half full kind of guy. So, all I can say is that woman has a sweet costume now. Wonder how many high fives she got from the other zombies when they saw her arm.
