Due to the NFL being in the midst of the whole Ray Rice punching his girlfriend in the face thing, CBS dropped the intro Rihanna recorded for last week’s Thursday Night Football game because they wanted to distance themselves from the whole domestic violence story. Asked if NFL had a hand in this decision, Roger Goodell said he was not made aware of this song. To his knowledge.
Now a week out from the controversy, CBS wants to use the song, “Run This Town,” as the intro to the Bucs/Falcons game this week. Rihanna is none too pleased.
CBS you pulled my song last week, now you wanna slide it back in this Thursday? NO, F**k you! Y'all are sad for penalizing me for this.

CBS has stated they’d cut Rihanna’s part out of it.
“Beginning this Thursday, we will be moving in a different direction with some elements of our Thursday Night Football open,” Jen Sabatelle, senior vice president of communications, said in a statement. “We will be using our newly created ‘Thursday Night Football’ theme music to open our game broadcast.”
Don Cheadle’s narration will now be the main focus.
