Bruce Campbell to Reprise His Role as Ash from ‘The Evil Dead’

Starz has ordered 10 episodes of Ash Vs. Evil Dead, a continuation of The Evil Dead franchise that ended with the cult hit Army of Darkness. Bruce Campbell will reprise his role as the boomstick-toting, chainsaw-handed ash. Granted, Campbell is now 56 so how’s that going to work?

Campbell will be reprising his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead.

When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons –personal and literal. Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its “Evil” grip.

Important question. Will there be a scene where his boomstick shoots blanks. You know, because he’s so old now?
