The Guy Mark Wahlberg Punched in the Face Forgives Him

Johnny Trinh, the Vietnamese guy Mark Wahlberg punched in the eye and, people assumed, blinded, has forgiven him. Trinh tells the Daily Mail that everyone was once young and reckless and that he’d like to see Wahlberg be given a pardon.

“He paid for his crime when he went to prison. I am not saying that it did not hurt when he punched me in the face, but it was a long time ago,” Trinh said. “He has grown up now. I am sure he has his own family and is a responsible man.”

Wahlberg and Trinh crossed paths after he had struck another Vietnmaese guy carrying crates of beer with a five foot long stick. Mark, fleeing, ran into Trinh who he pleaded with to help him hide. Once patrol cars left, he punched him in the eye.

Trinh also cleared up a long-standing rumor and stated that he was already blind in that one eye from fighting in the war.

That part is great news. Mark didn’t blind him at all after he punched him in his bad eye after asking for help. Now he’s slightly less of a jackass.

Trinh says he’d like to meet Mark in person. No word yet on if Mark is open to it as his conscience is clear.
