Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Divorce

After months and months of rumors, finally it’s here. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner put a knife in their marriage. Call it! It’s done. Ten years and three kids later, the two go their separate ways. Affleck to the casino, Garner to wherever she hangs out. Home? Pilates? Whatever, it won’t be around Affleck. They released a joint statement:

After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private family matter. Thank you for understanding.

This was a long time coming. Garner didn’t take to Affleck’s propensity for gambling and late nights, Affleck realized marriage gets boring fast. If it wasn’t for the kids, he’d have bailed a long time ago.

They got married ten years to the day. Almost. They got hitched on June 29th, 2005 so maybe today’s announcement is some sort of legal thing. This just goes to show. No Hollywood celeb should ever marry. You get into this game for the girls and money, not to go home every night to someone nagging you. Hollywood has two types of guys: single guys and guys wanting to be single.

Both will share joint custody of the kids, but not on the nights Affleck wants to bring home a naive Hollywood newcomer.
