Gillian Anderson, David Duchovny and Joel McHale ‘The X-Files’ Revival Photos Released. Insert Theme Song Whistle Here

Get amped, pictures of modern-day The X-Files are released and all the fantasies you built starting from the last episode in 2002 are realized. Oh, and Joel McHale is in it this time.

Mulder and Scully are back looking positively kick ass in behind the scenes photos from the production. Interestingly enough, Mulder isn’t in his FBI finest, making the wait till January feel as frustrating as your “saving it till marriage” principles you carried through early high school.

The cast and crew are spewing with original members: David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, creator Chris Carter, and Mitch Pileggi/Walter Skinner. We’ve also seen our first look at Joel McHale who is set to play a conservative Internet news anchor; I mean look at that news anchor face.

Boy is in character, that’s not even an action shot and he is killing it. Apparently, McHale, playing Tad O’Malley, is going to become an asset to Mulder, in the first instance of a conservative news anchor being in some way helpful.

The series is set to premiere January 24 & 25, giving the 6-episode season a two-night kickoff and allowing fans to come as close to binging an entire season on Netflix as network TV allows. Until then, enjoy making up story lines in your head or reading the Joel McHale sexy fan fiction that has most definitely spun off that photo.
