Bobbi Kristina Dead at 22

Bobbi Kristina, daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, has passed away today at the age of 22. Her family made the decision to withdraw her from her medication at her Atlanta-area hospice care facility.

Bobbi Kristina has been living in a medically-induced coma and under care since June 24th after a near drowning on January 31st. A specialist informed there was no chance of recovery.

She spent her final moments surrounded by family and the family comforts that, “she is finally at peace in the arms of God,” TMZ reports.

The January 31st incident is soon to be under investigation for a possible homicide, the main suspect being Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon. When found in her bathtub, police believed she had been submerged between 2 to 5 minutes. Bruises were also found on her face and body when Gordon and friend, Max Lomas, found her in the tub. Paramedics were able to resuscitate her, but she had to be placed on life support and in a medically-induced coma to relieve brain edema.

The decision to withdraw care came from her legal co-guardians, Pat Houston and Bobby Brown. The desicison was allegedly a moment of agreement in the otherwise tumultuous decision-making process that was Bobbi Kristina’s time in hospitalization.

Similarly, Bobbi Kristina’s mother, Whitney Houston died from a drug overdose in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in 2012.
