007 Can’t Be Gay or a Woman, Says Ex-Bond Roger Moore

Surprise! An 88-year-old man thinks political correctness shouldn’t play into casting decisions for James Bond because Ian Fleming wrote Bond as a straight white dude and we should always do things the same way they were done in 1953.

‘I have heard people talk about how there should be a lady Bond or a gay Bond. But they wouldn’t be Bond for the simple reason that wasn’t what Ian Fleming wrote.

Here’s a video called “Skyfall ‘gay scene'” that will prove to Roger Moore that times change and things don’t always have to be boring.

Thankfully, Daniel Craig disagrees. He recently reminded us in an interview with The Red Bulletin that Bond is less than perfect, “But let’s not forget that he’s actually a misogynist.”

And his response to everyone’s favorite question, can James Bond be black, gay, a woman?

“Anything’s possible. You can do anything as long as it’s credible and it works.”

Even Pierce Brosnan said, “Sure, why not?”

I love how chill they all are. Very whatever, so YOLO. Like anyone else with taste, I would love to see Idris Elba as Bond. For me, gender-swapping iconic roles or casting black actors in “white” roles isn’t about being politically correct, but more about giving actors of color and/or women a chance to play characters who have been historically white men. It wouldn’t ruin Bond’s legacy to make him black, or gay, or female, it would be a nice way for Hollywood to acknowledge that other people exist.

Spectre opens on November 6 and I probably couldn’t be more excited.

Hey Kate, James Bond is actually a fictional character who is a man and a womanizer. So Moore is correct. Unless some modern dumbass wants to retcon who and what Bond actually is.

And if you are going to do that, just create a new character to begin with and call it 006 and create a new character to fit what you want the cool British spy to be.

IT seriously would not be hard to do a spinoff and write her into the next Bond and launch from there.
