‘Godzilla vs. King Kong’ Coming in 2020. WHY!?

Warners Bros. and Legendary have joined forces to create a parody of modern Hollywood, except they don’t seem to realize it. In 2020, they will make Godzilla vs King Kong, the mega monster movie. They announced on Wednesday that they plan on making an “ecosystem.” Literally no one cares.

Kong: Skull Island, slated for release March 10, 2017, follows explorers who go to King Kong’s homeland and explore blah blah blah. It stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson (the ONLY thing remotely exciting about this announcement). It will be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts who directed Kings of Summer, which I hated.

Godzilla 2 will be out June 8, 2018 and honestly, it took until just now writing this for me to remember that Godzilla even existed. I was thinking about the Matthew Broderick one.

A quote from Legendary’s Thomas Tull for the rebuttal!

“Audiences really responded to Godzilla.”

I don’t believe you. I will admit that Godzilla made over $529 million worldwide.

“Today, I’m excited to reveal that film was only the beginning of an epic new entertainment universe. As a lifelong fan of these characters, I’ve always wanted to see the ultimate showdown, and today we’re pleased to be announcing that and more.”

Yay! Still not convinced we need any more “epic new entertainment universe” stuff but yay!

This has to be one of the most pointless articles I have ever read. The author comes off as a complete ass and shows how unqualified she is to even comment on the subject with the statement “Godzilla 2 will be out June 8, 2018 and honestly, it took until just now writing this for me to remember that Godzilla even existed. I was thinking about the Matthew Broderick one.”….what a douche.
