Official Trailer for ‘The Hateful Eight’ Arrives with Coats, Lots and Lots of Coats

The full trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s eighth film The Hateful Eight has arrived and it doesn’t disappoint, but doesn’t totally impress either. I’m gonna be seeing this movie no matter what, especially after seeing the film’s tag line – “See it with someone you hate.”

This movie is all about the coats for me. There are a terrific number of huge, flamboyant coats and for that I already feel fondly toward the film. I think it’s the first film for Tarantino where we’re going to be able to tell that he’s getting old, and that’s going to be weird.

And of course, just in time for the promotional tour for The Hateful Eight, Tarantino is in the news for his comments regarding police brutality and now a threatened police-wide boycott on his holiday movie.

I…..really can’t see how that’s going to affect this movie’s prospects. Tarantino’s audience is primarily made up of young and cool people. Although he’s achieved incredible success as a mainstream filmmaker, his interests are still a bit fringe. No one else would dare make a Western in 2015 and expect it to do well. Young and cool people are the ones who recognize that something is broken within the law enforcement system in this country, and won’t skip a movie because a bunch of whiny cops are mad that a famous person called them on their bullshit.

For that matter, any celebrity who has used #blacklivesmatter is basically agreeing with Tarantino. So we should boycott Hollywood as a whole and its terrible and scary and mean liberal agenda? Don’t see ANY movie on Christmas!!

Anyway, enjoy the trailer. There’s lots of guns and cool music and everything is going to be ok.
