US Weekly‘s cover story this week runs us through the new development – though I think we all sort of knew – that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s workplace romance is nothing but a “Revenge Romance” as their headline boasts.
Both Stefani and Shelton were divorced this year, so it seems hard to believe that they would immediately fall into a meaningful and lasting relationship right away, especially given the nasty circumstances of Stefani’s divorce from total loser Gavin Rossdale.
A Stefani source tells US Weekly,
“After everything Gavin has done, she hopes he sees what he’s missing. She’s moved on with somebody better who is really good to her. Her being happy is the best revenge. And she deserves it.”
And likewise, a Voice insider told the magazine,
“Blake kinds of wants to get back at Miranda.”
You know, despite seeming childish and insecure and immature, at least they want the same thing from the relationship. That can be hard to find, so good on you two. Just…don’t marry each other. That takes revenge fantasy too far.
