Jennifer Lawrence to Direct Acid Experiment Movie

Hollywood’s Best Girl Jennifer Lawrence has finally come out and admitted she feels the same as every other actor and has aspirations to direct.

“I have wanted to direct as long as I’ve wanted to act. I just don’t talk about it because I’d rather just do it. It’s funny, I’ve wanted to direct since I was 16 and always thought I should start making steps towards that. If I had tried to do it earlier, I wouldn’t have been ready. Now I actually feel ready.”

Saying “I want to direct” is one of an actor’s favorite things to say, so it’s really no surprise Lawrence would also express an interest. She also already has a project lined up based on a 2012 The New Yorker article, “Operation Delirium,” about Cold War doctors performing experiments on soldiers. The film is called Project Delirium and she doesn’t plan on starring in it.

Her interest in directing isn’t out of nowhere. She talked about it at the 2014 Golden Globes and cited her first film as the inspiration.

“My passion for directing happened at the same time it did for acting on my first movie. So I would love to direct – but I don’t want to suck.”

Kristen Stewart has also talked about directing, but talked about how difficult it would be to learn via failure when you’re already under public scrutiny. I’d be really interested to see what Lawrence brings to the director’s chair!
